One last glance before the paint dries, 2017

During the Lebanese war thousands of men and women disappeared. Most of them where never found, the families never recovered the bodies.

I wanted to pay a tribute to them by keeping their faces in the light. Thus, they will never be forgotten. I painted the photos with acrylic and scratched the surface.

Are the faces disappearing or reappearing? I wanted to create the illusion of a gesture in a loop. The never ending of their reappearance.
